Garlic & Pepper Pork (Moo Tord Kratiem Prik Thai) is a classic stir fry recipe from Thailand and is equally liked by Thai people and foreigners. As Thai food is often hot & spicy, the garlic & pepper pork isn´t hot at all. The recipe is quite easy and it´s best fried in wok.

Ingredients (2- 3 servings):
oil to fry
250 g pork, in stripes
5 small garlic cloves
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon Umami MSG (flavour enhancer)
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
coriander leaves (Cilantro) to garnish
Preparation:
Heat oil in wok (a frying pan will do it as well) and fry the pork stripes. Crush garlic cloves in a mortar (in Thailand one uses small garlic cloves with the skin). Add garlic, pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce and Umami MSG and stir fry until the pork is done. Garnish with coriander (cilantro) leaves and serve with steamed Thai jasmine rice.
